About Caroline Dowling
B.A. (Hons. Psych.)
Member Australian
Psychological Society
Member Division of Independently Practising Psychologists
Member Australian Institute
of Management
Caroline has had over twenty years of experience as a psychologist
in both the public and private sectors in Queensland and New South Wales.
Having initially worked for many years with children and families through community
health centres and the Department of Families, she has a sound understanding
of childhood trauma and family difficulties that can sometimes lead to difficulties
in functioning and relating in adulthood. She has assisted many adults to overcome
such difficulties through psychotherapy and counselling over the course of her
career.
Additionally, she has extensive experience in general adult counselling obtained
through community agencies, employee assistance services, workplace rehabilitation
agencies and her private practice, and is skilled in the treatment of adults
affected by a wide range of issues including anxiety and depression, trauma,
injury, relationship difficulties and difficulties in the workplace.
Caroline draws from training in a range of therapeutic frameworks and techniques.
Her approach is client-centred, non-judgmental, holistic and empowering.
